We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes polishing his design and animating his first official walk cycle. Now, Kenton has gone from sketchbook scribbles to strutting across the tavern floor, bringing his mischievous energy to life frame by frame.

The walk cycle might look simple at first glance, but it’s one of the biggest steps (pun very much intended) in making a character feel real. Every bounce of his staff, every tilt of his head, every uneven stride helps tell you who Kenton is without him ever saying a word. Spoiler alert: he doesn’t exactly walk in straight lines.
